What we do

Above ground and below it.

From a single overhanging limb to a full dismantle beside a house. Every job quoted in writing, every climber qualified, every site left as we found it.

Shape & light

Crown reduction & thinning

Bring a tree back to a safe size without hacking at it. More light in the garden, less weight on the limbs, a natural shape that lasts.

How a job works

Four steps. No surprises.

Arborist and homeowner looking up at an oak during a site visit

01

We come and look

A site visit, usually within 48 hours. We check the tree, the access and what's underneath it, then send a written, itemised quote.

Filling in a tree-work application form on the van bonnet

02

We sort the permissions

Preservation orders and conservation areas need the council's say-so. We check before we quote and handle the application for you.

03

We do the work

Dates agreed in advance. A crew of at least two, the climber roped and the limbs rigged. Chipper on site, cleared the same day.

You pay when you're happy

Questions

The things people ask first.

Do I need permission to have work done on my tree?+
Sometimes. If the tree has a Tree Preservation Order, the council has to approve the work first. If you're in a conservation area, they need six weeks' notice. We check before we quote and handle the paperwork for you.
Are you insured?+
Yes: public liability and employer's liability. Copies of the certificates come with every quote, so you can check them before we start.
What happens to the wood?+
Your choice. Brash is chipped on site. Logs and chip can be left for you, stacked where you want them, or taken away.
How much does tree surgery cost?+
It depends on the tree, the access and what's underneath it, which is why we come and look first. Every quote is written, itemised and fixed before we start. No day rates and no surprises.
Can you come out in an emergency?+
Yes. Storm damage and dangerous trees are made safe first and cleared properly afterwards. Call the number at the top at any hour.
